This depends on the schedule and process of the doctor you work with. It generally takes between five days and two weeks to receive a Pennsylvania medical marijuana card in the mail after completing the registration and being certified by an approved doctor.
In the state of Pennsylvania, a medical marijuana card is valid for one year from the date it was issued.
You can renew your patient certification with any registered physician; you are not required to see the same doctor who issued your original certification. After your new certification is completed, log into your PA DOH account to ensure that your annual payment is up to date and a new medical marijuana card will be printed and mailed to the address listed in your patient portal under ‘profile settings.’ You can pay the annual fee before or after your visit.
A medical marijuana card in Pennsylvania is $50 annually, plus the cost of your doctor visit. Individuals on assistance programs, such as WIC, Medicaid, PACE/PACENET, SNAP, and CHIP, may qualify for a fee waiver.
